Sacred Heart School offers a rigorous academic program that seeks to educate the whole child. A Sacred Heart education guides students of varied abilities toward academic excellence and responsible, moral decision-making in a world of advanced technology and challenged Catholic values.
Sacred Heart School offers a comprehensive TK-8 curriculum which not only emphasizes the core content areas of reading, math, language arts, social studies, and science but also integrates the Catholic faith into all areas of study. Students leave Sacred Heart School with a sound academic foundation as well as an understanding that Catholic values are relevant in all aspects of life.
As part of our commitment to educating the whole child, Sacred Heart students also participate in art, physical education, computer, library, Spanish, and music instruction. Teachers at Sacred Heart School utilize a variety of research based instructional techniques to ensure success for all types of learners. In addition to a full academic program, our curriculum is supplemented through an after-school sports program, student council, mathletics, student-prepared liturgies and prayer services, and an extended-care program. Sacred Heart School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA).
In addition to our strong academic curriculum, Sacred Heart School offers our students a variety of enrichment activities designed to provide a well-rounded individual. These opportunities take place both during the school day and after school. The opportunities include many clubs, competitions, activities, music ensembles, and sports.
