Sacred Heart Preschool

Sacred Heart Preschool is an independently licensed program serving children ages three to five. Open Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, our preschool offers a variety of engaging experiences that nurture curiosity, build confidence, and challenge children at their unique developmental levels.

While the preschool operates separately from Sacred Heart Elementary, our curriculum is designed to provide a smooth and comfortable transition into the elementary program. We focus on fostering moral values, self-esteem, problem-solving skills, academic readiness, and lifelong habits of learning. Above all, we provide a safe, loving environment where children can explore and grow at a pace that supports both social and emotional development.

Play is central to early childhood learning. Our outdoor play area and structure are thoughtfully designed to encourage imagination, creativity, physical activity, and social skills. From active games to cooperative play, children learn teamwork, confidence, and the joy of movement—building a foundation for a healthy and active lifestyle.

Sacred Heart has been a leader in Catholic education in the Salinas Valley since 1906, and our preschool continues that tradition of excellence by giving the youngest learners a strong start.
