Welcome to Sacred Heart School, where we have provided excellence in education for over a century. Many of our families live here in Salinas while others commute from as far north as Hollister and as far south as King City. Our elementary/junior high school is an architectural jewel rooted in the community for 75 years. In 2015, we opened our progressive preschool that educates and fosters the growth 3 and 4-year-olds and prepares them for kindergarten. Our commitment is to develop every preschool through eighth-grade student for higher education, for life, and Heaven.
At Sacred Heart School, we pride ourselves on providing your student with a superior Catholic education. We present a rigorous curriculum that fosters academic excellence and 21st-century skills. As a small school, your child will receive a personalized learning experience that is advantageous to his or her success. We work hard, so all our students achieve and excel in their academics and fulfill their maximum potential. It is with this academic excellence that Sacred Heart School promotes leaders who will are highly skillful and will serve as faith-filled citizens in our community and world.
Simultaneously, faith formation is a critical element of Sacred Heart School. Every decision we make is through the lens of the Gospel Values. In addition to providing students with the knowledge that will contribute to their worldly success, Sacred Heart School also instills its students with the values of the Gospel to ensure that students understand that sainthood is the real mission of life.
When you choose Sacred Heart School, you know that your child will experience rigorous academics, spiritual development, and community service. We also provide special classes such as technology, Spanish, music, art, and physical education. We believe in developing the whole child in mind, body, and spirit. Our goal is to provide the best education that supports the spiritual and moral development as well as giving confidence to each child in a safe and nurturing environment. We have an assortment of after-school programs and clubs that spark the unique interests of children.
Our active parental involvement is key to the success of our students. Our parents are encouraged to get involved at Sacred Heart School, whether it be volunteering in the classroom, being a part of the Parents’ Club, or working on events that benefit the school.
I encourage you to come to visit our campus and see for yourself why we have been the choice for quality education for so many families over the last 111 years!
Blessings
